The Hiking, Trek, and mountain biking program, headquartered at the Bike Lair behind the Grace Trading Post, offers hikes, overnight backpacks, and mountain bike rides throughout the the Valley and the surrounding area.

Hit The Trail!

A regular hiking schedule will be available at the start of each week and will include hikes to some of our most popular destinations, like Agua Caliente Falls. There is also time for troops to schedule their own day hikes and trek program overnighters.  Lost Valley offers a wide range of hikes, from short strolls to full-scale treks on the Pacific Crest Trail. There are peaks to climb, historic sites to visit, and canyons to explore.

If your Unit is interested in an overnight Backpack our Trek Staff will work with you to plan a route.  You will need to bring your own backpacks, but we will provide the food and fun.  Our Treks are overnight affairs, your Unit will depart after program in the afternoon and return before program the next morning.  Breakfast and Dinner will be provided. 

A Scout is Physically Fit…
 
The Valley has just become more fit for Scouts...fitness that is. This summer, Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley introduces its new Physical Fitness Program complete with all of the great activities that keep Scouts growing strong. Distance swimming, mountain biking, running and a brand new PAR Course will get that Scout active...at least for a week. Biceps, triceps, quads, pecs- we will use them all in our week of fun activities designed to help your Scout get active or improve his level of fitness.

At 4700' elevation, this will be a challenging program and will take some determination to complete.  The Personal Fitness program is open to all levels of fitness, Scouts are encouraged to take that first step to better health and fitness. Your Scout may not be mentally awake by the end of the day but he will remember all of those muscles that he has forgotten he even has.

Adults Leaders are also invited to participate in our fitness program.
