SCOUT SKILLS and FIRST AID

There are two Scout Skills areas, one for each side of camp.  Both areas offer Rank Advancements through 1st Class and Totin' Chip, Fireman' Chit,  and Paul Bunyan Woodsman Award.

Grace Scout Skills offers the following Merit Badges: Orienteering and Wilderness Survival.

Irvine Scout Skills offers the following Merit Badges: Pioneering and Camping.

First Aid Merit Badge: Meets in the Scoutmaster's Lounge portion of the Tom Tabb Center adjacent to Grace Scout Skills.  The First Aid program offers Scouts the First Aid Merit Badge.

Scouts can demonstrate knowledge of CPR for Aquatics (Swimming, Lifesaving, Rowing, and Canoeing) and First Aid Merit Badges on Tuesday or Thursday evening at the First Aid area.  Lost Valley does not offer American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR courses.

For rank advancements: Staff members are not allowed to sign off requirements in Scouts' books.  Scouts recieve a Passport that staff members will sign off as requirements are completed.  Scouts will need to demonstrate the skills they learned to adult leaders within their Unit to be signed off.
